During this time of transition my focus as an artist is to create meaningful visual art that delights, inspires creativity and elicits an emotional response in the viewer. From brilliant pastel drawings to contemporary landscapes to realistic still life florals, I bring my skills of many years and project images onto the surfaces that I touch in order to connect with myself and my audience. Whether it is in the studio or plein air, I strive to produce evidence of joy, insight, and the rhythmic patterns of life in the changing seasons. In the past years, I have mused on the human condition through figure painting. I love to incorporate the figure into landscapes to animate my scenes. Local landscape paintings enthrall me as well. I attempt to capture the beauty of nature before me. A special favorite of mine is bringing simple watercolors to the beach and painting the ocean with figures on the spot!
